Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I absolutely love all sorts of music (specifically K-pop), travel, and writing about anything I spontaneously become interested in. I hope you love it here as much as I do!

Savannah vlog:

These are all of the places that I went in my traveling tourist vlog of Savannah, Georgia with a little more information about all of them! Please watch my video and enjoy!

Savannah Book Festival:

Once a year in February, authors of all kinds come together for the Savannah Book Festival. This year, there were 45 authors and all were free to the public to talk to. So many books were on sale and many of them were signed or able to get signed when meeting the author. I attended the talk back of Emily Bestler and learned so much. I highly recommend attending this event when it comes around next year and the year after that. There are food trucks and coffee shops near by so there is certainly something for everyone.

Ellis Square:

Ellis Square is absolutely beautiful and it is Savannah’s most popular square. It is located at the front of City Market which is a street with art galleries and many restaurants to choose from as well as Byrd’s cookies and many other yummy treat shops. Ellis Square is filled with joyful people and children all day long. It is a wonderful place to sit down with a cup of coffee and people watch for a bit or have a nice chat.

The Impeccable Pig:

Every time I pass The Impeccable Pig while walking down Broughton Street, I have to stop to see what is in the window. This family owned boutique is so cute and has something for everyone. It was created in 2002 and is now at twenty different locations. Walking in there, I instantly wanted every dress and romper that I saw but was also greeted with wonderful customer service and conversations from other happy customers. The price range is on the higher side, but the quality of the clothes is amazing as well as the one of a kind feeling that they possess.

Copper Closet:

There are thirteen different Copper Closet stores and Savanah, Georgia is lucky to have one of them! Located in three states, Copper Closet is a fast growing shop with a wide variety of styles. If you are into shops like American Eagle mixed with southern style and beach vibes then... this shop is for you!

Forsyth Park:

Savannah’s largest and main park covers over thirty acres of land with tennis courts, basketball courts, two playgrounds, a stage and half theatre for events, and a cafe. There is a farmers market every Saturday and bigger events almost every month. The fountain was built in 1858, but it changes once a year on St. Patrick’s Day when they make the water green for celebration.

The Future on Forsyth:

This shop is truly individual as in, you cannot get the clothes and accessories that you will get here, anywhere else in the world. They have a very trained group of buyers that go out into the country and across the world to buy the items that are in store. They buy strictly for this shop and nowhere else. I have never seen such unique items before. Everything was color coded and in such good condition. If you are into vintage shopping, I highly recommend stopping into The Future on Forsyth. The rent and sell all of the looks in store.

Arrowleaf:

They do not have a website or much information public about their start or their business, but they are located between City Market and Broughton Street. Ellis Square is visible from their entrance and if you want to shop for girly styles while also having a cute brunch meal, this is the shop for you. They have candles, jewelry, and unique collections of clothes while being located right next to cute cafes and sit down restaurants.

Mamie Ruth:

I have never been in a shop like Mamie Ruth. They carry individual Bo Ho styles that are all made in the USA. They have what look like walk in closets in the store that the workers use to work in and create the clothes and jewelry right there. It was so innovative while also being very eco-friendly.  Their prices are high, but the clothes are very high quality and made locally.

House of Strut:

House of Strut was a more modern vintage store, with a florescent sign and very organized racks, they definitely had a very contemporary feel. The worker was so polite and told me everything I needed to know about the shop. They rent and sell their pieces, while also trying to be as unisex as possible. All of their denim and sweaters are unisex, but they are also very inclusive. They rent all of their clothes for three days at a time and even give a discount to SCAD students, so if you are a SCAD student that is looking for vintage clothes for a film or photoshoot, House of Strut is the place to go.

Sustainable Lifestyle Store- Cork House:

I shop at very eco-friendly stores, but I have never seen a shop like this one. Everything in the store was made of cork and was reasonably prices. They had everything from bowls to passport cases. The environment was very calm but also innovative. They had a section of the store for workshops and the whole store was filled with tables that had everything cork you could imagine. They even promoted other brands, so they had chapsticks, lotions, and tooth tablets for good environmentally conscious alternatives.

Savannah Coffee Roasters:

This coffee has to be the best coffee I have ever had. It is naturally so rich and tasty, but that is to be expected from a coffee shop that was created over 110 years ago. They were founded in 1909 by Edgar R. Morrison and almost every cup of coffee since has been perfect. The warmly lit coffee shop has a family friendly feeling while also being very business friendly as well. It is a great place to sit down and have a cup of coffee with a group of friends or do school work for a couple hours over a cuppa and a sandwich. The shop is big enough that even when almost every seat is taken, it does not feel packed. They keep it very clean in here as well while having plenty of products that are for sale to take back to the friends and family.

River Street:

Last, but not least, River Street has to be the most historic point in Savannah. There are hotels, candy shops, pubs, restaurants, bars, and boutiques to choose from while also looking at the river and monuments. River Street is famously haunted from World War II and also the colonization of Savannah resulted in the burial ground of native Americans and slaves to be in the surrounding areas. There are World War II monuments lining the river so while having a stroll with the family, there is also a learning experience. You will never not find people singing and playing music here as well. They have school events and farmers markets places on River Street so the groups of people are nonstop. Since Savannah is has an open container city, you will find a lot of wedding parties and groups of tourists having a crazy night out so the best time to visit is definitely during the day. That is when the river is at its prettiest anyways!
